We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a hospital setting, particularly in acute care, and will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, to develop individualized treatment plans that enhance their communication abilities and overall quality of life.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' speech and language abilities.
Develop and implement tailored treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
Provide case management services to monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders and effective communication strategies.
Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Stay current with medical terminology and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Valid state licensure or certification in Speech Language Pathology.
Hospital experience preferred, particularly in acute care settings.
Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus.
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
