Catch a Balloon Inc. is a pediatric therapy clinic dedicated to supporting children and families through individualized, evidence-based care. Our interdisciplinary team provides Occupational Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology, and ABA services. We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate
Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
with expertise in
pediatric feeding and dysphagia management
to join our team.
Responsibilities
Assess, diagnose, and treat infants and children with
feeding and swallowing (dysphagia) disorders
.
Develop individualized treatment plans focused on
safe oral feeding, swallowing
, and communication needs.
Provide caregiver coaching and training to support oral-motor and feeding strategies at home.
Collaborate with occupational therapists, behavioral therapists, and other professionals in an interdisciplinary team.
Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and clinical notes in compliance with CASLPO standards.
Participate in team meetings and clinical discussions to ensure coordinated care.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
Registered and in good standing with the
College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO)
.
Clinical experience in
pediatric feeding and dysphagia
is required.
Strong knowledge of oral-motor development, swallowing physiology, and intervention strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Assets
Training in evidence-based feeding and swallowing approaches (e.g., SOS Approach to Feeding, Beckman Oral Motor, PROMPT for feeding, VitalStim).
Experience working with children with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, or complex medical needs.
Bilingualism is considered an asset.
