We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in working with the pediatric neurodiverse population, and will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' speech and language abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
Provide therapy to patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support a comprehensive and consistent approach
Educate patients and their families about communication disorders and treatment options.
Maintain accurate documentation of progress and treatment outcomes.
Stay current with best practices in speech-language pathology through continuous education and professional development.
Share recommendations and strategies with families and team members
Requirements:
Completion of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
Registered member and in good standing with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
Current professional liability insurance
Alberta driver's license and reliable vehicle
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Recent clearances: Vulnerable Sector Check & Child Intervention Check
Experience working with young children and families
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $60.00-$85.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 20 per week
