As our Speech Language Pathologist, you will be a part of an interdisciplinary team providing services to clients across the continuum of care. The majority of your clients will be community adults and the SLP II performs duties relating to the assessment, treatment, education and management of patients within the Home Care environment. Our dynamic team serves clients in their own homes, lodges, Designated Supportive Living space, senior\'s apartments and Long Term Care. There is a very strong focus on the multi-disciplinary and collaborative process including and focused on the patient. We have Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Recreation Therapy and Social Work on our Allied Health team working in close collaboration with our nursing teams. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide clinical professional practice both independently and as a part of a collaborative team, which may include external partners. You will be responsible for providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. You will participate in the planning, coordination and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals and other partners. Your leadership and interpersonal skills will aid you in supervising students and providing clinical guidance to other staff as appropriate. You will use your clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development.

Required Qualifications:

Master\'s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA). Additional Required Qualifications:

Effective assessment, treatment and education skills. Ability to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Some travel to nearby communities is involved approximately once a week or once every second week. This position requires a vehicle for business use. Possession of a valid driver\'s license and access to a motor vehicle in good repair for work-related travel are required. Preferred Qualifications:
