Position Description

The Speech Language Pathologist assesses and treats resonance, speech and language disorders of children ages 0 -18. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team and will communicate and review findings with relevant disciplines.
Here's What You'll Get To Do
Assess and consult with children who have neurogenic speech, voice or language difficulties following surgery, epilepsy, stoke or trauma
Be responsible for verbal and written reporting
Work with interdisciplinary team and take part in family meetings, rounds and education
Here's What You'll Need
Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology
Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario
Previous experience in paediatric speech language pathology, more specifically in the area of neurogenic speech, voice or language difficulties following surgery, epilepsy or stroke and trauma required
Previous experience at SickKids an asset
Excellent skills in the areas of verbal and written communication, problem-solving, time management and evidence-based clinical practice
Ability to relate to children and families
Sensitivity to and understanding of issues related to linguistic and cultural diversity
A commitment to understanding and aiding in the pursuit of equity, diversity & inclusion
