Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with patients to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. You will play a vital role in improving the quality of life for individuals across various age groups, particularly in pediatric settings. Your expertise will contribute to the development of personalized treatment plans and interventions tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language skills in patients. Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient goals. Implement therapeutic interventions to enhance communication abilities and swallowing functions. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, and case managers to ensure coordinated patient care. Educate patients and their families about speech-language disorders and treatment options. Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Stay updated on best practices in speech-language pathology and participate in professional development activities.

Skills

Proficient understanding of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology. Experience working with pediatric populations is highly desirable. Familiarity with hospital settings and acute care environments. Strong case management skills to effectively coordinate patient care. Excellent patient care abilities, demonstrating empathy and effective communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $90.00-$120.00 per hour
