Your Opportunity:
This is an exciting leadership opportunity within the Pediatric Community Rehabilitation program in the Calgary Zone. The successful candidate will join a passionate team committed to delivering high-quality, family-centered care to children and youth across multiple sites. Services are provided by a multidisciplinary team supporting children with diverse needs. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Team Lead provides day-to-day leadership, clinical coordination, and operational support to interdisciplinary staff, including Therapy Assistants, Social Workers, Resource Personnel. This role ensures service delivery aligns with program priorities, supports staff in daily operations, and fosters a collaborative, client-centered approach. The Team Lead works closely with other discipline leads and leadership to implement a coordinated service model and integrated care across the continuum. The Team Lead supports onboarding, caseload coordination, rollout of provincial updates, and communicates service delivery challenges to leadership. This position may also provide clinical services and consult on complex cases. The Team Lead participates in zone and provincial initiatives and collaborates with Professional Practice Leads to implement supported and leading practices. Placement in the appropriate Team Leader classification will align with the applicant's professional discipline and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Provide functional supervision and coaching to interdisciplinary staff. Coordinate and evaluate day-to-day programs and services. Support recruitment, onboarding, and performance input. Manage workload utilization, scheduling, triage, and student placements. Collaborate with discipline leads to ensure integrated service delivery.
Description:
As a Speech Language Pathologist III, you will be responsible to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team where you will be an integral leader to other healthcare professionals (Speech Language Pathologists, Assistants). You will facilitate the development and ongoing monitoring of clinical standards of practice for speech-language pathology and patient (client, resident) care protocols in the department and geographical area. In collaboration with management, you will support the development, implementation and evaluation of the department's operational plan strategies.

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution as required for registration in an allied health profession or Master's degree in Social Work Professional Membership(s) Active registration with the appropriate Alberta regulatory college or professional association. Skills and Experience Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a Pediatric Community Rehabilitation ( PCR) Demonstrated leadership in service planning, coordination, and evaluation. Proven ability to coach, mentor, and support interdisciplinary teams. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Experience fostering collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Commitment to professional development and evidence-informed practice.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous leadership experience in a healthcare or pediatric rehabilitation setting. Demonstrated experience with change management and implementation of new clinical or operational processes. Familiarity with provincial pediatric rehabilitation frameworks, policies, and service delivery models. Strong skills in data-informed decision-making. Experience with student supervision and academic partnerships.
