We are looking for an Innovation Lead who can take diverse viewpoints and analyze data to develop clear problem statements that support the development of innovative solutions to challenging business problems that will enable the company to realize the ultimate potential of our integrated business model.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ten years' work experience, preferably in IT project development or BU led projects
  • Five years of experience working on IT systems design on moderate to high complexity projects
  • Five years of people leadership experience, indirect or contractor led would be valued
  • Ten years of experience in designing and implementing IT technical solutions preferred
  • B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, MIS or equivalent
Responsibilities:
  • Effectively work with an internal stakeholder to determine the root cause of a business problem and then solve it with digital technology
  • As a champion of Design Thinking and Agile, apply leading methods to design and deploy new digital solutions to meet business needs
  • Using their experience leading digital innovation to accelerate business transformation and create business value
  • Project execution and the creation of low-cost prototypes
  • Develop clear incubation strategies that take ideas through lab phases (feasibility, Alpha MVP & Beta MVP)
  • Work with Development leads and/or Product teams to define scaling strategies
  • Lead the creation of clear artifacts to support Leadership decisions on further investment
Location and other Key Details:
  • You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 - 6th Ave S.W.
  • Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs

  • Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will generally be based years of experience and scope of work
