We\'re looking for a Specialist, Public Relations to join our Marketing team! You will be responsible for helping build Lightspeed\'s brand and influence. You are a seasoned communications professional, with experience in supporting global PR strategies.

What you\'ll be doing:

  • Work closely with the Director of Public Relations to support the PR team by building and driving PR organizational frameworks, calendars, media monitoring, reporting, and external strategies.
  • With the assistance of the PR team, develop and drive corporate stories in North America that advance Lightspeed\'s narrative and influence.
  • Craft, research and maintain foundational PR tools
  • Project manage and publish PR campaigns
  • Liaise closely with our Brand, Internal Comms and Social Media teams to support cross-department collaboration and create content for multiple channels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders to source newsworthy stories and leverage corporate data.
  • Keep a pulse on industry trends and activities and identify opportunities to inject Lightspeed into the broader conversation.
What you need to bring:

Our team is responsible for building a robust communication framework that keeps the market and the media informed and engaged.

We\'re looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:
  • 2+ years experience in external/internal/corporate/employee communications
  • Excellent writing and communications skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to work independently, be resourceful and exercise good judgment in fast-paced, dynamic environments, as well as the ability to escalate appropriately
  • Crisis and reputation management
  • Creative thinking and customer-first approach to storytelling
  • Approach the job with a positive attitude, collaborative sensibility, attention to detail, sense of curiosity, and a growth mindset
Even better if you have, but not necessary:
  • Experience working on a global team and managing global campaigns
  • Relationships with media in Canada and Quebec\'s top tier media outlets
  • Previously worked for a public trading company
  • Fluency in French
