Expected Salary Range: $72,633.00 - $90,792.00 - $113,490.00



Our typical hiring range will be +/- 5% of the midpoint shown above

Joining the Social Purpose & Marketing Division means you'll be working with a group of talented professionals in Social Purpose, Community & Stakeholder Engagement, Communications & Government Relations, Marketing, CRM & Loyalty and Customer Support. As a Crown corporation that earns more than a billion dollars in annual revenue for B.C., BCLC's commitment to giving funds back to the province is an integral part of our business, but still only one piece of the picture.



You will be joining an amazing team of multidisciplinary marketers who are skilled at bringing the thrill of betting action and dream-filled anticipation to life on PlayNow.com. We create compelling experiences for all guests and players across all touchpoints. We appreciate that the battle for people's attention and their discretionary entertainment spend is becoming more challenging as competition in the gambling and entertainment space is rising. We are proud that PlayNow is BC's only 100% legal and regulated website that offers players a great gambling experience with the highest level of player protection, game integrity and whose profits go back to BC communities. Our team keeps pace with emerging player preferences, iGaming and marketing trends, while creating captivating experiences for all our players.



The Role





As our Specialist in Experience Marketing, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how players engage with our iGaming products in order to increase player loyalty and retention on PlayNow. You'll use your experience to elevate player experiences, ensuring every interaction is memorable, drive marketing strategies, and leverage enterprise player experience and product strategies to shape the future of our player engagement.



This role will be involved in all aspects of player experiences starting from developing strategy, identifying audiences, partnering with vendors, working within a budget and all aspects of planning the events from developing overall look and feel to arranging the finer details such as gifting and travel. In addition to experiential marketing execution, this role will also perform general marketing activities such as creative development, promotions, content creation and digital marketing.



What you will accomplish





Plan and execute live events, pop-ups and interactive brand experiences that foster emotional connections and drive player engagement and retention of our iGaming product offerings on PlayNow including casino and lottery. Create exclusive experiences for our high value players in partnership with our sponsors and vendors to support product launches, player appreciation, sponsorship activations, and winner celebrations Collaborate with cross-functional marketing team to deliver campaigns, promotions, digital experiences that elevate PlayNow and drive acquisition and retention on the platform. Build key relationships with internal stakeholders such as product , sponsorship, creative, social media, player health and customer support teams as well as external sponsorship and vendor partners to ensure successful execution of marketing plans Use data and research to measure success of marketing initiatives and identify customer segments.

Qualifications & skills





A bachelor's degree in marketing or a related business discipline 3 to 5 years recent, related experience in the discipline of experiential marketing, consumer retail marketing or advertising agency environment with a digital marketing focus Expertise in marketing, experiential marketing, advertising and branding A combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered

What will make you successful





Strong technical writing skills to create compelling marketing briefs Strong business acumen and a strategic mindset, able to see the link between player experiences and business results Comfortable working with large amounts of data to identify insights, build stories and measure success Experience working with Adobe Experience Manager to create landing pages Strong relationship building skills, working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders Proven ability to manage multiple projects, pivot when needed to handle any curveballs and manage multiple concurrent priorities Proven ability to develop digital marketing initiatives that deliver positive business results An understanding of the online gambling landscape and a thirst for competitive inteligence
