Dream is looking for a Compensation & HRIS Specialist

Dream\xe2\x80\x99s People + Culture team is looking for a Compensation & HRIS Specialist to provide compensation analysis, HR analytics, data management and systems support. In this role, you will work closely with our Sr. Manager, Compensation & Total Rewards to analyze and interpret data related to employee compensation, benefits, and HR metrics, as well as develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits programs in Canada, US, and EU to attract and retain top talent. You will be responsible for the continuous evaluation and improvement of our Human Resources Information System (HRIS- UKG) through technical and operational support. Your expertise will contribute to developing and implementing compensation strategies, enhancing HR analytics capabilities that drive high employee satisfaction, engagement levels and align with the company\xe2\x80\x99s goals.

What will you do?

Below are some of the responsibilities you will be taking on in this role. There will be more, but we can discuss those in person.

Compensation, Benefits & Job Architecture Programs

  • Analyze and interpret internal and external compensation data to develop pay ranges, updating and aligning strategies as needed.
  • Provide consultation and analytical support to People + Culture and the business on benchmarking roles against external market data, retention strategies, spot awards, and various project/milestone bonus programs as needed.
  • Participate in global compensation surveys and ensure competitive pay practices are maintained.
  • Assist in the development, implementation, ongoing maintenance, and communication of compensation programs and policies.
  • Familiar with Pay Equity, upcoming Pay Transparency legislations and ensure compliance with requirements in all provinces in which we operate.
  • Participate in the maintenance of the job evaluation process, assist with the creation and maintenance of job descriptions, job families & levels in accordance with the job architecture.
  • Conduct various benefits related reconciliations and provide required reports and may assist in pension audits.
HRIS & People Analytics
  • Assist the Sr. Manager, Compensation and Total Rewards with the annual year-end compensation planning and review process utilizing in the UKG compensation module.
  • Lead HRIS projects to plan, develop, manage, implement, and optimize our UKG HCM platform; manage scope and expectations, driving project delivery by leveraging your expertise to ensure successful implementations.
  • Configures the system to meet ongoing business needs and generates reports to support HR functions, including compensation, compliance, performance management, and workforce analytics.
  • Assist with the change management process as necessary, from creating training aids and employee resources; mentor, train and empower others on application concepts, tools, and best practices.
  • Work with external HRIS vendors to identify, communicate, and fix data integrity and system issues as necessary to ensure data integrity within the system.
  • Implement ways to automate data and analytics solutions, developing easy-to-access/understand/use dashboards and reports as necessary
What type of experience and skills do you have?

  • A Post-Secondary degree in Human Resources, Economics, Finance, Business Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 4+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working in a similar role dedicated to Total Rewards including job evaluation, compensation, benefits design, and administration in a complex organization.
  • Advanced Excel skills where you can shine with v-lookups, pivot tables, statistical analyses.
  • Experience working with multiple data sources, manipulating & interpreting large data sets using various compensation modeling programs requiring statistical and analytical knowledge.
  • Experience troubleshooting and problem-solving technical aspects of HRIS (preferably UKG) (e.g., setting up tables, reports, developing and running queries/reports, assessing integrations, etc.)
  • Superior knowledge of compensation, HR systems, benefits & pension.
  • Strong action orientation, ability to make quick, quality decisions and deliver superior results.
  • Enjoys learning new things, seeking out greater responsibilities and driving best practice beyond day to day.
