Job Summary

The role of Change Management Specialist is to plan, develop and execute change management activities for CN\'s Transportation & Network Operations organization supporting various I&T projects.
The ideal candidate will work closely with various Business Functions and I&T Stakeholders to ensure that people, process, and technology changes are prioritized, Change Management best practices are applied, and CN\'s training & communication guidelines are followed to ensure adoption of the new ways of working.
The Change Management Specialist will report to the PMO/Portfolio manager and will play a key role in keeping all the stakeholder groups engaged throughout the various releases of different programs.

Main Responsibilities

Stakeholder Engagement and Change Preparation

\xc2\xb7 Engage stakeholders at all levels of the organization (Executive, I&T, end users within management and unionized groups)
\xc2\xb7 Identify impacted stakeholders and conduct impact assessments
\xc2\xb7 Contribute to the continuous refinement of the adoption strategy and plan, in line with identified adoption risks
\xc2\xb7 Create risk mitigation tactics to minimize resistance
\xc2\xb7 Manage change network groups (Change Champions and Super Users)
\xc2\xb7 Liaise with other key groups at CN and externally (Support, business units and different functions such as Finance, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, etc.)
\xc2\xb7 Proactively identify people risks to enable successful change adoption and work collaboratively to develop and implement mitigation tactics

Training & Performance Support

\xc2\xb7 Collaborate with Learning and Development Specialist to conduct training needs assessment
\xc2\xb7 Support in the development of relevant training material for impacted stakeholders (job aids, presentations, system simulations, etc.)
\xc2\xb7 Conduct training sessions and gather participants\' feedback on training opportunities
\xc2\xb7 Ensure all the communication & engagement activities align with the training strategy
Communications
\xc2\xb7 Support leadership engagement activities
\xc2\xb7 Develop strategic communication plans to support client groups
\xc2\xb7 Draft communications and oversee review cycles and approvals
\xc2\xb7 Ensure the communication plan is up to date
\xc2\xb7 Distribute communications to internal audiences
Adoption
\xc2\xb7 Work with program teams and change network to regularly assess stakeholder readiness, measure adoption and propose mitigation plans when necessary
\xc2\xb7 Based on readiness and adoption results, propose change management mitigation tactics that would support the program objectives

Requirements

Experience

\xc2\xb7 Minimum 5 years experience leading change management activities within a complex program/project
\xc2\xb7 Familiar with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecycle
\xc2\xb7 Ability to build, manage and facilitate the execution of change management plans to support the people side of business transformations.
\xc2\xb7 Experience in implementing people, process, and technology changes across the organization, working in partnership with business functions and leadership.
\xc2\xb7 Strong analytic and decision-making abilities
\xc2\xb7 Proven ability to partner cross functionally and lead/collaborate through influence
\xc2\xb7 Capacity to summarize complex data and visualize it in easy-to-understand formats
\xc2\xb7 Experience working in a unionized environment*.

Education/Certification/Designation

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\'s Degree in Organizational Behaviour, Management, Human Resources (HR) or similar field
\xc2\xb7 Change Management Certification (PROSCI)

\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of ITSM and ITIL service management framework
\xc2\xb7 Knowledge of Agile release processes*
\xc2\xb7 Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)*
\xc2\xb7 Solid understanding of the logistics and transportation industry*
*Any knowledge for any of the above would be considered as an asset
