Job Summary

The Delivery Lead is an integral role within the Business Process Automation team and is responsible for the definition, realization and delivery of automated solutions that reduce manual efforts and operating costs within the various lines of business of CN. Successful candidates will have a broad range of skills and knowledge in IT service delivery, business analysis, project management, and process automation.

Business Process Automation is a vital component of CNs digital transformation strategy and the Delivery Lead \xe2\x80\x9cpulls it all together\xe2\x80\x9d to satisfy the needs of the business by orchestrating the end-to-end delivery of robotic processes through collaboration with business stakeholders, business analysts, development, quality testing and project management.

The Delivery Lead primarily serves as an advocate on behalf of the business and helps to identify, elaborate, and qualify new automation opportunities that produce recurring value (ROI) in the form of reduced manual efforts, regulatory compliance, and/ or increased revenues.

In addition to qualifying new opportunities, the Delivery Lead governs the delivery of approved automation opportunities and ensures the achievement of outcomes and benefits.

Throughout delivery the Delivery Lead manages solution barriers, mitigates project risks, and choreographs the activities of the various teams involved in delivery. They ensure that all pieces of the solution scope across projects are properly tested, and business requirements have been satisfied.

Main Responsibilities

1. DISCOVER

  • Collaborate with Business Owners, Product Managers, Solution Integrators, Architects and Designers to understand business objectives and the intended purpose of proposed solutions
  • Participate in requirements gathering efforts and assess the technical feasibility of the proposed solution by reviewing key solution components and integration points and escalating risks
  • Estimate delivery efforts and associated costs with project stakeholders and contribute toward the definition of a business use case that demonstrates the value of the proposed solution
2. Elaborate
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Managers, and and Business SME\'s to identify the ingredient components of solutions and produce solution design documentation (PDD and SDD)
  • Participate in project planning activities with Project Managers to define and communicate delivery timelines internally within the project team and to manage customer expectations
  • Govern the transition from Discovery to Delivery by securing and documenting approvals from Business Process Owners and IT Finance prior to investing capital expenditures
3. Deliver
  • Serve as Scrum Master and provide active guidance and support to developers, testers, and release coordinators during the execution of their assigned duties/ deliverables
  • Oversee the execution of implementation and delivery plans to ensure they conform to process and solution design documentation along with proposed delivery planning
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders (including Partners, Business SMEs, and IT) to proactively identify and mitigate solution barriers or other risks to project implementation
  • Support the delivery team as the go-to person for any question related to the solution dependencies and help arbitrate proposed deviations in project scope or change requests
  • Safeguard CN production environments by ensuring that all solution requirements and integration failure points, or other dependencies have been thoroughly tested prior to release
4. Govern
  • Conduct the efforts of project team members including vendors and suppliers and ensure they adhere to project milestones and comply to CN delivery standards and access/ security controls
  • Collaborate with operational and support stakeholders to ensure the seamless implementation of delivered solutions into the production environment and transition to support personnel
  • Participate in project reviews/ meetings and provide frequent progress updates to ensure delivery risks or project issues are clearly communicated along with mitigation plans
  • Contribute toward the definition of a longer-term vision to drive efficiencies into the design and delivery of IT solutions and to evolve service offerings with additional technologies or capabilities
  • Collaborate with IT Finance and Portfolio Managers to monitor the financial health of the program
Technical Skills

\xc2\xb7 Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications

\xc2\xb7 Previous experience with robotic process automation (Blueprism) and optical character recognition (ABBY) would be considered an asset

\xc2\xb7 Familiar with API and Microservice architectural concepts and DevSecOps

Education

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor degree in Computer sciences, Software Engineering or Information technology

\xc2\xb7 Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in software engineering lifecycle process

\xc2\xb7 Experience with software development lifecycle process
