With continued focus on stores and the customers we serve, we strive to advance our position as a top retailer in Canada by driving profitable growth and exceptional value.Here\'s where you\'ll be focusing:

  • Execute and manage the Private Label Brand Management strategy within assigned categories
  • Responsible for the on time delivery of the end to end brand/product plan from ideation to implementation
  • Executes the brand/product specific strategic business plan across categories
  • Works closely with Procurement Specialists, Product Developers, Regulatory Managers, QA Specialists, and Packaging/Design to bring products from concept to shelf.
  • Gains alignment with Category Merchant to incorporate Private Label products into the category strategy and category planning process
  • Support the development of the product plan for assigned categories by supplying key metrics such as sales, trends, etc.
  • Responsible for ensuring all brand standards for product, packaging and design are adhered to
  • Supports Marketing to ensure private label presence in the national marketing calendar
  • Acts as an advocate for Sobeys private label brands, both internally and externally
  • Continuous Improvement and drive Process improvement by focusing on increasing efficiencies through work activity and document flow
  • Empower employees and foster an environment that encourages employee engagement and motivates team members to perform at their very best
  • Support Private Label development plans, working with the Category Merchants and other resources to achieve business objectives
  • Provide assistance to category merchant teams to develop and support our brand presence. Resolve issues with Private Label products as they arise
  • Partner with Product Innovation & Development in the development/performance of the Private Label program
  • Develop close working relationships with Category Merchants, Quality Assurance, Product Development, Regulatory Affairs and Design team to manage project timelines and financials
What you have to offer:
  • An Undergraduate Degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Previous Project Management experience
  • Strong retail product knowledge
