L'opportunite:
Relevant de la Directrice adjointe de la reussite des eleves et du developpement des coachs, vous travaillerez avec une equipe multidisciplinaire pour appliquer differentes strategies d'intervention en situation de crise et encadrer les eleves dans le developpement de leur propre autoregulation.
Vos responsabilites:
Retirez les eleves des situations lorsque approprie afin de faciliter la desescalade en utilisant des techniques d'intervention en cas de crise.
Agir en tant que ressource principale pour les urgences concernant le comportement des eleves.
Planifier des interventions comportementales pour les eleves.
Aidez les eleves a identifier leurs emotions et a apprendre a les gerer.
Compiler et tenir a jour les dossiers de comportement des eleves et suivre les ameliorations.
Promouvoir des interventions comportementales positives et un environnement d'apprentissage securitaire grace au soutien et a la supervision des eleves assignes.
Fournir des mises a jour regulieres concernant les progres des comportements des eleves assignes a la directrice adjointe de la reussite des eleves et du developpement des coachs.
Encadrer le personnel sur les strategies de gestion du comportement au besoin.
Exigences et experience :
Diplome d'etudes collegiales ou universitaire en techniques d'education specialisee, psychologie, psychoeducation ou en sciences du comportement
Bilingue - francais et anglais
Forme a l'Intervention Non Violente de Crise
Formation ABA - un atout
Connaissance des plans de comportement de prevention et d'intervention ainsi que des programmes d'education individualises (IEP)
Capacite a repondre a des situations de crise ou il pourrait y avoir de la violence physique et verbale
Connaissance des diagnostics et des difficultes comportementales associees telles que : ODD, OCD, ADHD, Anxiete, Trouble de l'attachement, Inadaptation sociale, Traumatisme emotionnel et difficultes de communication
Experience avec des eleves atteints de TSA ayant des difficultes de comportement (p. ex. effondrements, agressivite) et connaissance de strategies efficaces pour les aider a se calmer, a s'autoreguler et a se remettre d'une detresse emotionnelle
Connaissance des moyens appropries pour gerer des comportements difficile

The opportunity:
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Student Success and Coach Development, you will be working with a multidisciplinary team to apply different strategies of crisis intervention and coach students in developing their own self-regulation.
Your responsibilities:
Remove students from situations when appropriate to facilitate de-escalation using crisis intervention techniques.
Act as the primary resource for emergencies regarding student behavior.
Plan behavior intervention for students.
Help students identify their emotions and learn how to manage them.
Compile and maintain students behavior records and track improvements.
Promote positive behavior intervention supports and a safe learning environment through the support and supervision of assigned students.
Provide regular updates regarding behavior progress of assigned students to the Assistant Director of Student Success and Coach Development.
Coach staff on behavior management strategies as needed.
Requirements and experience:
Diploma of College or University Studies in Special Care Counselling, Psychology, Psychoeducation or Behavioral science
Bilingual - French and English
Trained in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
ABA training - an asset
Knowledge of prevention and intervention behavior plans as well as Individualized Education Program's (IEP)
Ability to respond to crisis situations in which there could be physical and verbal violence
Knowledge of diagnoses and associated behavioral difficulties such as: ODD, OCD, ADHD, Anxiety, Attachment Disorder, Social Maladjustment, Emotional trauma, and communication difficulties
Experience with students with ASD with behavior difficulties (e.g. meltdowns, aggression) and possess the knowledge of effective strategies to help them calm down, self-regulate, and recover from the emotional distress
Knowledge of appropriate ways to handle intervention with challenging behavior
