What you will be doing

PRINCIPALES FONCTIONS ET RESPONSABILIT\xc3\x89S:

• Coordonner et g\xc3\xa9rer tous les aspects requis afin d\'obtenir la couverture de m\xc3\xa9dicaments d\'ordonnance pour les patients;
• Coordonner les cas avec les compagnies d\'assurance, les cabinets de m\xc3\xa9decins et les professionnels de la sant\xc3\xa9 afin de maximiser les solutions de remboursement;
• Coordonner les documents, les soumissions et tous les documents connexes aux compagnies d\'assurance, programmes de financement public/f\xc3\xa9d\xc3\xa9ral;
• Mettre en \xc5\x93uvre le test de moyens financiers tel que requis dans le but de maximiser la couverture des m\xc3\xa9dicaments d\'ordonnance du patient
• Coordonner les processus de pharmacie requis lorsque le financement a \xc3\xa9t\xc3\xa9 obtenu; et
• Acqu\xc3\xa9rir une connaissance approfondie des m\xc3\xa9canismes de financement public/priv\xc3\xa9 et f\xc3\xa9d\xc3\xa9ral.
• Responsable de signaler tous les \xc3\xa9v\xc3\xa9nements ind\xc3\xa9sirables aux d\xc3\xa9partements concern\xc3\xa9s.
• Le/la sp\xc3\xa9cialiste de remboursement sera \xc3\xa9galement affect\xc3\xa9(e) \xc3\xa0 d\'autres fonctions et t\xc3\xa2ches au besoin de temps \xc3\xa0 autre.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and manage all aspects required in order to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients;
• Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician\xe2\x80\x99 offices and healthcare professionals in order to maximize reimbursement solutions;
• Coordinate documents, submissions and all related paperwork to insurance companies, public/federal funding programs;
• Implement Financial Means Test as required in an effort to maximize patient\xe2\x80\x99s prescription drug coverage
• Coordinate pharmacy processes required once funding has been obtained; and
• Acquire in depth knowledge of public / private and federal funding mechanisms.
• Responsible to report all Adverse Events to the assigned units/departments
• The Reimbursement Specialist will also be assigned other duties and tasks as required from time to time.

EXP\xc3\x89RIENCE ET NIVEAU D\xe2\x80\x99\xc3\x89DUCATION REQUIS:

• \xc3\x89ducation post-secondaire ou l\'\xc3\xa9quivalent dans une discipline connexe;
• Minimum de 2 ans d\'exp\xc3\xa9rience en service \xc3\xa0 la client\xc3\xa8le, dans un environnement de bureau;
• Solide ma\xc3\xaetrise des applications Microsoft (Outlook, Word, Excel);
• Mani\xc3\xa8res professionnelles/courtoises/efficaces au t\xc3\xa9l\xc3\xa9phone;
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa9prouv\xc3\xa9e \xc3\xa0 organiser le temps, fixer les priorit\xc3\xa9s et \xc3\xa0 accomplir de multiples t\xc3\xa2ches afin de respecter les diverses \xc3\xa9ch\xc3\xa9ances de travail concurrentes;
• Le candidat doit avoir de solides comp\xc3\xa9tences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles;
• Capacit\xc3\xa9 \xc3\xa0 travailler de fa\xc3\xa7on autonome et dans un environnement d\'\xc3\xa9quipe;
• Souci du d\xc3\xa9tail;
• Exp\xc3\xa9rience dans l\'industrie des soins de sant\xc3\xa9, des produits pharmaceutiques ou de l\'assurance est un atout; et
• Le bilinguisme, fran\xc3\xa7ais/anglais est un atout.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Post-secondary education or equivalent in a related discipline;
• Minimum of 2 years experience in customer service, in an office setting;
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
• Professional / courteous / efficient telephone manner;
• Proven ability to organize time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines;
• Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
• Attention to detail;
• Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or insurance industry is an asset; and
• Bilingualism, French/English is required

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• University Degree in a related industry;
• Minimum of 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in the pharmaceutical, insurance or healthcare-related industries;
• Previous experience in reimbursement and Knowledge of public, private and federal reimbursement is required;
• Minimum of three (3) years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in a Customer Service setting; OR Five (5) years or more tenure as a Sr. Reimbursement Specialist
• Professional / courteous / efficient telephone manner;
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel);
• Proven ability to organize time, set priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines;
• Candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate with patients in a healthcare setting on extremely sensitive topics;
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
• Attention to detail; and
• Bilingualism, French/English is an asset.
