Why this role is important?




Reporting directly to the Director, Space Planning, the incumbent will be responsible for developing and updating planograms using specialized software, collaborating closely with category management to incorporate new products and market changes. Key responsibilities include analyzing sales data to inform product positioning, managing the planogram, testing new initiatives in our lab store, and ensuring the lab store is well-maintained. This position also involves preparing data and supporting materials for presentations.


This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with space planning tools, an analytical mindset, and the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines.

Duties:



Creating all planograms necessary using Space Planning Software based on store standards Incorporate adjustments into existing planograms, so store planograms are current based on store standards Develop and maintain the Planogram and work-back schedule specific to each category Liaises with category management regularly to review new products, changes or updates required for planograms and ensures timelines are achieved Scans product set up at the Lab store location to ensure feasibility of all planograms and prepares information spreadsheets for sign offs Creates and/or reviews planogram notes to ensure implementation standards are adhered to Ensures all planograms, once established, are published in accordance with the Planogram schedule Analyzes product sales and profit performance to determine best product positioning for new and existing products for period releases. Tests new initiatives and provides feedback and recommendations to support category management and improving corporate penetration. Maintains the Lab store to ensure the facility is clean and free of clutter Receiving product, putting on shelf & then packing up for product sale Manage data/ templates and supporting information, used for various presentations

This position requires a demonstrated level of initiative and judgment to organize and prioritize tasks, workload, and projects. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are required in dealing with colleagues in every day working relationships.

Requires an understanding of inter-related work processes to be able to adapt to differing assignments. Provides routine information to coordinate the assignments and work procedures of others. Professional manner, tact, diplomacy, and discretion in dealing with clients and associates including senior management. Draws on many known options to solve problems and to develop improvements. Computer skills to produce effective planograms, spreadsheets, reports, documents and presentations, as required. Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions. Able to work with diverse personalities and styles. This role requires the ability to frequently lift and maneuver heavy items, potentially weighing up to 15 kg Communicates with clarity, verbally and in one on one or group situations, using Video conferencing and/or over the telephone Communicates well in writing by composing clear documents; facility with editing and/or proof-reading is required Project Management skills including the development of a project timeline Business acumen - demonstrated understanding of quality standards relative to merchandising, store layout and space planning.

Experience:



Greater than two years, but less than or equal to three years merchandising, business, planogram, or equivalent experience.
