Job Description

Overview:Under the direction of the Chef, the Sous Chef - Steakhouse plans and supervises daily operations of a kitchen in an effort to provide a positive guest experience. Responsibilities:

• Responsible for scheduling employees.
• Consults employees on daily responsibilities, following their progress in completing tasks in time-frame allotted to insure proper production.
• Controls production levels in order to minimize waste advising Chef of progress.
• Implements operations, standards and procedures established by Chef including sanitation, tasting of products and presentation.
• Ensures all food is prepared in accordance with operation standards.
• Maintains clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Promotes positive guest relations; handles guest complaints.
• Other duties as assigned.

Formal training and accreditation from an accredited culinary institute with two (2) to four (4) years food production experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualifications:ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications including Smart Serve, Food Handlers and AGCO Gaming.
• Must be at least nineteen (19) years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends, as well as flexible shifts.
• Must have good communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills, including a positive, friendly, and outgoing attitude, common courtesy towards others and the ability to deal successfully with stressful situations.

ABILITY TO:

• Must be able to stand 50% of shift, walk 45% of shift, and sit 5% of shift.
• Must have the ability to withstand noisy and smoke-filled environments.
• Must be able to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with arms and hands.
• Must regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds.
