Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of wines and beverages, along with exceptional customer service skills. As a Sommelier, you will enhance the dining experience by providing expert wine recommendations and ensuring that our guests receive top-notch service in a vibrant restaurant environment.

Duties

Curate and maintain an extensive wine list that complements the restaurant's menu. Provide personalized wine recommendations to guests based on their preferences and meal choices. Conduct wine tastings and educate staff on wine selections and pairings. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure seamless service during meal preparation and serving. Manage inventory of wines, including ordering, receiving, and organizing stock. Ensure compliance with food handling and safety regulations throughout the restaurant. Assist with cashiering duties, including cash handling and processing payments through Micros POS systems. Foster a welcoming atmosphere by engaging with guests and providing exceptional customer service.

Experience

Previous restaurant experience is essential, with a strong background in food service preferred. Demonstrated customer service skills, showcasing the ability to interact positively with guests. Experience in serving food and beverages, along with knowledge of meal preparation techniques. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and proficiency in using Micros POS systems is advantageous. A passion for wines and beverages, along with relevant certifications or training as a Sommelier is a plus. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.85-$22.00 per hour
