General Public on Geary Ave. is looking for junior sommelier to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years experience working in fine dining service with deep wine knowledge. We're looking for outgoing, personable, and friendly people who care about making great experiences for guests.
This is a hybrid sommelier and support position. Responsibilities during service include running food, supporting servers with clears & resets, and recommending/selling wine on the floor. These are relatively short shifts (4-6 hours), with four shifts per week (Friday through Monday). This position could be a perfect transition for someone to take who works in restaurants and is knowledgeable about wine but wants to gain experience as a sommelier. It could also be manageable for someone who is working a day job in wine but is looking to moonlight in another role.

Pay: $20.00 per hour
