•We currently seek a highly motivated Sommelier to join our dynamic team. •

Reporting Chain

Reports directly to the Director of Wines.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide a consistently exceptional experience for all guests
• Assist guests in selecting appropriate wine pairing for their dining experience
• Offer guests knowledgeable, personalized service
• Receive, store, and inventory wine deliveries
• Occasionally provide support to the wait staff
• Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Knowledge and Skills Required:

• First level Sommelier accreditation from a recognized institution with advanced level or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years in a food and beverage role, with 2+ years in a similar role
• Thorough understanding of wine regions/styles of the world
• Thorough knowledge of fine dining service procedures and functions
• Excellent knowledge of food and wine pairing
• In depth food and preparation knowledge

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements

• Able to lift 50+ lbs. as required.
• Stand for extended periods.
• Walk, bend, reach and push and pull frequently each shift.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work safely under pressure with attention to detail.

Must have own transportation and be eligible to legally work in Canada.
