Job Description

Our Banking client in Toronto, Ontario is looking to hire a Solutions Architect - Expert for a 6-month contract role.

What you will be doing\xe2\x80\xa6

• Design large and complex solutions, including system and application designs, data architecture, software, and technical architecture, in accordance with strategies and objectives.
• Provide architecture governance to development teams through all project phases.
• Prepare Architecture Blueprint and other Architecture artifacts.
• Plan high-level solution phases and estimate required work sizing.
• Work collaboratively with Business Capability Owners and Technical Leads on product Roadmaps prioritizing scope for each delivery cycle.

What you will need to succeed\xe2\x80\xa6

Must Have Skills:

• 4-8+ years of data architecture experience with advanced knowledge, experience, and understanding of distributed databases, in-memory technologies, application/database development, application/database design, data integration and application/database tuning.
• Solid understanding of data, data modeling, security, resilient systems design, integration, and application development
• Solid experience with a variety of technologies/frameworks like SQL/NoSQL, micro-services, REST APIs, and Streaming
• Ability to quickly evaluate options, make decisions and execute within an intense technology environment with multiple stakeholders
• Strong analytical, consultative, and team communication / facilitative skills with solid written and verbal communication skills
• Technology stack: Kafka, Java, JEE, SpringCloud, Spring Boot, Openshift, Kubernetes, SQL Server.

Nice to have skills:

• Experience in leading large programs/projects.
• Wealth Management experience.
• MemSQL.
• DataStage.
