Software Development Manager | Hybrid | Montreal



We are looking for a strong Mgr, SFS Software Development who is a self-starter, eager to learn new tools and products and who is flexible and has ability to work within an environment that is fast paced and with a distributed team.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and create project scope and milestones
• Manage the handling and assigning of daily tasks within the team
• Hold regular meetings ensure open communication and expectations
• Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
• Ensure proper communication concerning changes in established milestones or challenges that may affect the outcome of a project's completion date
• Ensure team members meet performance goals
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and other departments
• Technical background and understanding of complexities of a software application.
• Ability to offer feedback or guidance to technical solution as needed

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems, or a related field is required. Equivalent work experience in a similar position may be substituted for educational requirements

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years MIS or computer science experience with increasing responsibility in QA and/or telecommunications experience

Additional Experience

• Ability to deliver quality results in a busy, fast paced and dynamic team-oriented environment
• Identifies potential project technical risks and develops plans to mitigate them
• Excellent trouble shooting skills, perform root cause analysis to identify problems in design and/or implementation.
• Passionate about processes and methodology
• React well and quickly to frequent project demands and requirement changes with flexibility to juggle multiple projects and requests as needed
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working with remote teams

Technical:
Knowledge of Microsoft development languages and tools to help support team. (C#, .NET, Microsoft SQL Server, Azure)
