About the Team Welcome to Workday\'s Reporting and Analytics Platform team! This team owns improving and scaling of the underlying reporting and analytics engine to query and operate on large volumes of transactions for critically key business needs, interactive analytics and background extractions.

About the Role

We are hiring for one of our project areas called Core Reporting, where we focus on improving the reporting experience for large-volume applications. We work closely with our product management and application teams to ensure the reporting runtime is crafted to customer expectations. We support over 3.5B executions every month across all Workday customers - and growing!

In this role you will work in a team of highly motivated and dedicated engineers working in a fast paced environment. It\'s a great opportunity to grow into the role of being a technical mentor for the team.

About You

You love working on challenging technical projects with some unknowns

You enjoy researching new ways to deliver value to our customers - we\'d love to know your ideas for improvements

Passionate about reporting tools and functionality that solve customer problems

You are customer centric and advocate customer delight

You have experience with Java systems

You advocate for code quality and the best development practices.

You are a teammate and enjoy working with team members and collaborating across teams to build new solutions

You are eager to learn Workday technologies, like Xpresso

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of experience as a software engineer

3+ years coding in Java

Other Qualifications

Familiarity with accessibility best practices is preferred

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to a wide variety of audiences

Highly motivated to learn how things work

Bachelors degree or greater in Computer Science preferred
