Poly is seeking a Software Developer Co-op, with focus on Tools and Automation tasks for our dynamic, highly successful Vancouver engineering team. In this position you will be working on industry-leading unified-communications software for industry leading Edge E, CCX, Trio and VVX desktop and conference phones. Responsibilities:

• Take initiative and add analytical capabilities on dashboards.
• Improve automation around stress and performance areas.
• Help with daily continuity of the CI process.
• Participate in maintaining software development, integration and validation pipeline for Poly voice platforms.
• Help with Test Automation testbed equipment and infrastructure running Jenkins jobs for our Perl based legacy TA test suites and the new Groovy/Java based TA test suites.

Your day to day :

• Adding analytical details on the dashboard using NodeJS and Java Script to showcase continuous automation execution and generating different reports out of it for monitoring and executive summary.
• Integrating SQL database with Jenkins using Groovy and pushing this data on dashboard via NodeJS.
• Maintain existing and develop new automated test scripts around stress and performance areas using Java and Groovy.
• Adding support for new test platform based on Voice over IP and Video over IP technologies and service provider into the testing framework and supporting their qualification.
• Help in ensuring the TA infrastructure driven by Jenkins jobs is running smoothly and efficiently, and the testbeds are operational and functional.
• Contribute daily to the objectives of an Agile Software Delivery Team.

Requirements:

• Enrolled in a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree program in Engineering, Computer science or Applied Science.
• Completed minimum 3 years of the degree program.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
• Quick learner, ability to work systematically and be organized.
• Understanding of Programming best practices and Object Oriented design, implementation and testing.
• Familiarity with TCP/IP networking concepts and any other networking protocols is a plus.
• Familiarity with Jenkins Continuous Integration Server is a plus.
• Familiarity with building web pages with HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a plus.

• Preference will be given to Co-op Students currently enrolled in an Undergraduate co-op program with their school.
