Your Opportunity:Reporting to the Area Manager Forensic Assessment & Outpatient Services, the Social Worker III will act as treating clinical team member with the Rocky Mountain Program. Primary treatment services are provided within the context of a provincial correctional environment and also at the Forensic Assessment & outpatient services, located at the Sunridge Professional Centre. The clinician will provide primary Sexual Offender Assessment & Treatment to individuals convicted of such sexual offenses under the criminal code of Canada, within the context of Forensic community mental health clinic, as well as at times in the Calgary Correctional Centre. The Social worker III may also provide input/ participate in facilitation of program development, staff development, service planning, quality improvement and evaluation and/or research activities as identified. The treatment may include but is not limited to court mandated and court requested forensic treatment services to a target population of individuals presently serving a provincial sentence for sexual offenses, from across Alberta/ \xe2\x88\xa8 individuals who have a legal mandate to attend for assessment &/or treatment in a community forensic mental health setting. The Social Worker III will also act as a liaison and program ambassador of forensic services. Work will be performed with a high degree of independence within broad guidelines and in accordance with program and professional standards.Description:As a Social Worker III, you will perform either advanced level assessment and treatment or act as a clinical lead. You will work with or within teams to provide health care services for patients with complex and multidimensional medical, psychosocial, environmental and instrumental needs. You will provide advanced clinical services, consultation to the interprofessional team and patients/families and supervision of students and team members as assigned. You may also act as a clinical lead providing leadership in the planning, development, and delivery of services in a specific area, as well as staff development, quality improvement and evaluation or research activities as identified by the needs of the service area(s).

Required Qualifications:Master\'s degree in Social Work. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW). Additional Required Qualifications:Requires authorization to perform restricted activities under ACSW. 3-5 Years prior experience in an acute and/or community mental health setting. Experience providing therapy and psychosocial interventions essential (individual and group). Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work in an interdisciplinary setting required. Solid interpersonal communication skills, interviewing techniques and writing skills required. Formal training or practical experience utilizing CBT, DBT, Group Psychotherapy, Family therapy &/or other endorsed forms of therapy is required. In-Depth knowledge of mental health / Mental Illness required. NVCI. Experience working with a mandated and/or forensic population. Preferred Qualifications:Experience providing Sexual Offender treatment in an inpatient or community setting is strongly preferred. Experience in a Forensic mental health setting preferred. Experience providing Sexual Offender treatment in a community setting preferred. Current CPR an asset. Current working knowledge of Sexual Offender risk assessment tools preferred. ATSA certification preferred.
