Provides assessments, treatments, referrals and case management of individuals, couples, groups and families who experience mental health problems and/or addictions problems. Provides professional consultation and collaborative support as an interdisciplinary team member.

Knowledge of current trends/issues/best practice strategies Knowledge in human development and family dynamics Knowledge in local human service organizations, resources, referral procedures Knowledge in individual, family, group, and crisis counselling methods Knowledge of community programs/services Ability to engage in community program consultation. Commitment to quality, safety, and improvement striving towards zero harm Knowledge in family violence, trauma, loss and grief, addiction, and poverty
