About the Role
As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our Japanese social media presence, creating culturally tailored content, and supporting marketing initiatives aimed at Japanese audiences. You will collaborate with our international marketing team to increase brand visibility and user engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Engagement
Plan and implement social media strategies customized for the Japanese market
Manage daily activity on Japanese platforms such as Twitter, LINE, Instagram, and Facebook
Stay informed of social media trends in Japan and adjust strategies accordingly
Foster community engagement through prompt replies to inquiries and interactions
Content Creation & Localization
Produce original, engaging content in both Japanese and English
Localize global campaigns and messaging for the Japanese market
Work with design teams to develop visual content for online campaigns
Campaign Support & Digital Outreach
Assist with social media advertising campaigns (LINE Ads, Twitter Ads, Instagram Ads)
Promote study abroad programs, events, and testimonials across digital channels
Explore influencer collaborations and marketing partnerships in Japan
Analytics & Performance Monitoring
Track key social media metrics using analytics tools
Compile reports to assess performance and suggest improvements
Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform campaign direction
Requirements
Native or business-level Japanese fluency
Business-level proficiency in English
Minimum 2 years of experience in social media marketing or community management
Demonstrated success managing platforms such as LINE, Twitter, and Instagram
Strong knowledge of Japanese digital culture and audience preferences
Skilled in content creation and social media writing
Familiarity with performance analytics tools (Meta Insights, LINE Analytics, etc.)
Interest in international education and global communication
Preferred but not required:
Experience in paid ad campaign execution (LINE, Twitter, Instagram)
Knowledge of video production or editing tools for social media
Background in influencer marketing or public relations
