We are currently looking for a Social Media Marketing Intern (Chinese Department) to strengthen our digital outreach and engagement with Chinese-speaking audiences.
This is a valuable opportunity for a Mandarin-speaking individual with at least two years of experience in social media and digital marketing to work in a dynamic, internationally-focused environment.
About the Role
As a Social Media Marketing Intern, you will be responsible for managing our Chinese-language social media channels, developing culturally relevant content, and supporting campaigns that connect with audiences across China and Mandarin-speaking regions. You will work closely with the global marketing team to expand our digital presence and drive user engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Strategy & Engagement
Develop and implement localized social media strategies for the Chinese market
Manage and grow activity on platforms such as WeChat, Xiaohongshu (RED), and Weibo
Stay informed on Chinese digital trends and audience behaviors
Interact with users through comments, messages, and community engagement
Content Creation & Localization
Create high-quality social media content in Chinese and English
Adapt existing materials to suit cultural context and audience tone
Work with designers to create visually impactful posts and ads
Campaign Management & Outreach
Assist in running paid ad campaigns on WeChat, Xiaohongshu, and Weibo
Promote Life Journey programs and events across digital platforms
Explore influencer marketing and partnership collaborations
Analytics & Optimization
Use analytics tools to track and evaluate content performance
Produce performance reports with actionable insights
Research competitors and identify ways to improve engagement
Requirements
Native or business-level fluency in Mandarin Chinese
Business-level proficiency in English
Minimum 2 years of experience in social media or digital content marketing
Experience with Chinese platforms: WeChat, Xiaohongshu (RED), Weibo
Strong grasp of Chinese digital culture and online behavior
Competence in writing and designing engaging social media content
Familiarity with analytics tools and metrics
Interest in global education and international communication
Preferred but not required:
Experience with paid advertising (WeChat Ads, Xiaohongshu Ads, etc.)
Video editing or production experience for social channels
Background in influencer outreach, public relations, or brand partnerships
