Position: Social Media Coordinator ? YOUTH Opportunity Start date: June 26, 2023 Location: 100% Remote 9 weeks, 30 hrs/week, $17/hr Age max. 30yrs, must be Canadian citizen/permanent resident, with permanent residency in Canada (funder?s requirements) ?Social Media Coordinator? is created through the Canada Summer Jobs Fund. The intention is to provide support to our Communications Director and a professional growth opportunity to a youth. Bona fide occupational reqts: Do to the nature of the work involved we require a female for this particular position (direct contact with survivors of gender based violence), who is fluently bilingual in French and English. Responsibilities:

• Produce, edit and customize content for all our platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram)
• Execute on marketing strategy for public awareness campaigns and events
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and CCFWE team on marketing campaigns and strategies
• Demonstrate leadership; define the most important social media KPIs
• Coordinate marketing and promotional material in support of campaigns, including timelines, design and messaging of related promotional materials
• Engage with internal clients; serve the needs of external clients
• Measure the success of every social media campaign
• Research audience preferences and discover current trends
• Create engaging text, image and video content for accounts on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media platforms
• Maintain a working knowledge of the pop culture social media space, including trends and new/emerging social platforms
• Ensuring content follows best practices, meets strategic priorities and adheres to CCFWE values and culture

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience working as a Social Media Coordinator or similar role
• Post-Secondary in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations
• Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and impressions
• Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram, Google+ and other social media best practices
• Understanding web traffic metrics
• Experience working with non for profit organization
• Good understanding of social media KPIs
• Familiarity with web design and publishing
• Excellent multitasking skills
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• ASSET: Bilingual French and English

Due to the short term of this contract vacation time will not be granted. Should illness occur, CCFWE requests hours to be made up where possible, as CCFWE will not be reimbursed by CSJF for weeks under 30 hours. This position falls under the policies of the Canada Summer Jobs Fund and legislation surrounding Federal government Grants and Contributions.
