SOCIAL ENTERPRISE COORDINATOR JOB SUMMARY
Turning Leaf Support Service's Social Enterprise is designed to provide programming to all Turning Leaf participants interested in gaining work experience in a safe and supportive environment.
The Social Enterprise Coordinator reports directly to Senior Leadership and is responsible for assisting, implementing, and supervising the day-to-day operations of the program.
This role is focused on driving the success of a Social Enterprise that creates meaningful employment and skills development opportunities for adults with intellectual disabilities and mental illness. As the Social Enterprise Supervisor, along with managing a team, one's responsibilities include (but are not limited to) leading efforts to build sustainable programs, develop stake-holder partnerships, and manage day-to-day operations, all while ensuring a positive impact on the lives of individuals who face significant barriers to employment.
The Social Enterprise Coordinator will participate in the development of future programming and assist with the development of the Bed Bug Heat Treatment Social Enterprise.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

18 yrs of age or older
Available 40 hrs p/week
Current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check (no older than six months).
Adult Abuse Registry Check (no older than six months)
Child Abuse Registry Checks (no older than three months)
Valid drivers license and access to reliable vehicle is required
Minimum of one year management experience
Dedication to continuous profession/skill development
Experience effectively navigating through potentially high-risk situations through verbal de-escalation techniques, and the ability to stay calm in potentially high stress situations
An understanding/experience in small business development is considered an asset
Valid First Aid/CPR certificate

QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Turning Leaf Social Service Coordinator must possess the ability to remain calm in escalated situations and be able to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously, empathetically, and professionally while executing their responsibilities and providing Turning Leaf's person-centered supports.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement programs aimed at enhancing the skills and employability of adults with intellectual disabilities and mental illness.
Create skill-building programs to meet the diverse needs of participants.
Ensure programs align with the mission and values of the organization, promoting inclusion and empowerment.
Develop measurable outcomes to track progress and impact on participants' skills development and employment readiness.
Quality control of the work being done by the participants and if needed, completing the contracts for the week if there are not enough participants to partake in the work.
Supporting front line staff team to be effective supports for our participants while on jobsites and to address and concerns or issues that may arise from participants, staff, and our customers/contracts.
Build and maintain partnerships with local businesses, non-profit organizations, and community leaders to create employment opportunities for participants.
Participate in the development of future programming.
Assist with the development of the Bed Bug Heat Treatment Social Enterprise
