TNO - The Neighbourhood Organization (TNO) is a well-established community-based social and health service agency providing a wide range of programs and services supporting low-income and newcomer communities across Ontario and sometimes across different provinces through online services and referrals.

The Corner is a multi-service, inclusive hub governed by residents and service providers and is a unique, integrated service model between 20 partner organizations. The Neighbourhood Organization leads this integrated service model. We are seeking one

Program Coordinator, 240 Hub and Social Enterprise

to join our The Corner team in a

full-time permanent

role starting November 24, 2025. The Program Coordinator - 240 Hub and Social Enterprise will be responsible for coordinating TNO's 240 Hub and Social Enterprise initiatives at St. James Town, including the Share and Reuse Program, Personal Support Services, Catering Collective and other related programs.

The ideal candidate must have an undergraduate degree in social sciences, social services, community engagement, or a related field, or possess equivalent experience and expertise. A minimum of three years' direct experience in community development, outreach, and working with diverse and high-needs populations is required. The candidate must have

demonstrated leadership in Reduce, Reuse, Recycle (RRR) programming and environmental sustainability models

, as well as

proven experience supporting social enterprise and income generation initiatives

. Strong skills in program coordination, team supervision, and client-centered service delivery within an anti-oppressive and equity-focused framework are also required. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with the non-profit sector. Fluency in additional languages is considered an asset.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



Registration of all new clients at The Corner and in the community, satellite sites to ensure the client navigates and access the services with ease in a safe and respectful manner. Collaborates with St. James Town Community Corner (The Corner) programs and other internal departments to recruit appropriate clients for the 240 Hub and all Social Enterprise activities. Assesses clients' interest, eligibility, and commitment to programs, and conducts orientation sessions prior to registration and intake. Coordinates and supports the delivery of day-to-day operations and all social enterprise activities at the 240 Hub and The Corner. Ensures accurate financial tracking, accountability, and deposit of revenues from all social enterprise activities in accordance with TNO finance department guidelines. Maintains accurate records of financial transactions and client information, including entries in AlayaCare and TNO/HASJT Hub databases. Supports the development and implementation of project goals, work plans, evaluation methods, and budgets to achieve deliverables. Assists in the delivery of various program activities, including: Inventory Management Repair and Maintenance Workshops Performance Metrics Tracking Participates in program evaluation and analysis of outcomes. Orient and supervise PSWs to ensure community residents receive required care and assistance. Coordinates the activities of staff and volunteers at the 240 Hub and supervises Community Ambassadors and PSWs, ensuring delivery of quality services to community residents. Builds care plans for referred clients and completes initial client visits and intake for St. James Town PSS clients. Liaises with the St. James Town community to identify issues, gaps, and needs, and reports findings to supervisory staff. Collaborates with Community Ambassadors, project partners, stakeholders, and volunteers to plan and implement special events, outreach, and civic engagement activities, including culturally specific programming and celebrations. Participates in community development and outreach efforts, including program promotion at community landmarks and support for TNO-wide initiatives. Attends Health Access meetings and refers clients to appropriate community partners as needed. Acts as AlayaCare Super-User for St. James Town clients and ensures timely data entry for CSL/Community Fixer visits and timecards. Maintains PSS documentation, including Excel tracking sheets, website updates, and distribution of transportation support (e.g., taxi chits). Models and promotes critical reflection, anti-oppressive, and equitable practices in all interactions with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Job Type:

Full-Time permanent position (35 hours per week).

200 Wellesley St East, Toronto, ON M4X-1G3 and other TNO locations

Schedule:

9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., with occasional weekends as needed.
