Are you passionate about supporting community members and enhancing social development? K'omoks First Nation is seeking a dedicated and highly organized

Social Development Coordinator

to create and deliver impactful programs and services! This dynamic role offers you the chance to make a real difference in our community while fostering collaborative relationships with community, staff and departments.

What You'll Do:



Develop and manage comprehensive budgets that supports the Social Development programs and aligns within the Social Development policies and procedures. Determine eligibility needs and provide resource referrals to help applicants navigate available support within the Income Assistance and Assisted Living Programs. Maintain timely processing of all Social Development cheque requisitions and maintain accurate and updated records for all clients according to policy guidelines. Develop life skills workshops and programs for Social Development clients that foster connection, education and growth. Build partnerships with employment agencies to create job opportunities for community members and assist clients with job referrals. Coordinate the Assisted Living Program, ensuring support services align with budget and policy requirements.

Who We're Looking For:



If you possess strong leadership skills and thrive in a team environment, we want to hear from you! Ideal candidates will have post-secondary education in Social Work or Human Services, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in delivering social service programs. You should be well-versed in budget management and skilled in building respectful relationships with diverse stakeholders. Cultural sensitivity and knowledge of the Indigenous governance landscape in BC are essential.

Pay: $27.41-$38.63 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
