Job Description
Sidewalk crew members needed at commercial snow-removal company in Oakville.
Monthly
stand-by pay
PLUS hours worked. Hourly rates $25.00. Actual combined hourly rates$40.00-$50.00 p/h.
Training and equipment provided. Sidewalk crews work as part of a team, clearing snow with shovels, snow blowers and other equipment. Candidates must have good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in winter weather, sometimes for long periods. Must be prepared to work unsociable hours, very early starts, night shifts etc as weather dictates.
All employees are on call and must be able to respond when the weather demands - therefore
24/7 availability is essential
. Please only apply if you have this type of availability to be on call any time night or day, seven days a week.Hours are weather-dependent but we pay stand-by so count on a cheque every month even if it doesn't snow. All hours actually worked are paid on top of the stand-by payment
Contract is Nov 15th - April 15th with possibility of ongoing work in spring/summer for the right candidates.
