Job Summary

We are seeking reliable, hardworking, and physically capable individuals to assist with winter snow removal operations with our sidewalk crew. As a Sidewalk Snow Removal Crew Member, you will be responsible for clearing snow from walkways, driveways, and other outdoor areas to ensure safety and accessibility during winter months.

Duties

Shovel snow from sidewalks, driveways, parking lots, and entryways using snow shovels and snow blowers Apply salt and de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and improve safety conditions on sidewalks Monitor weather conditions and respond quickly to snow events, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed and always on-call Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient snow removal and outdoor maintenance operations Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents during snow removal activities, ensuring no damage is done to property, landscaping, or structures Maintain equipment and tools in proper working condition

Requirements

Prior experience with snow shovelling is a plus but not required, training is provided Ability to operate snowblowers safely and effectively is desired but not required, training is provided Physically fit and able to work in cold, wet and harsh outdoor weather conditions Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor environments Attention to safety procedures when handling equipment and working on properties Reliable transportation to the yard is an asset

Additional Information

As snow removal is weather-dependent, this is an on-call position that requires flexibility and availability during snow events, which can occur on short notice Equipment (shovels, snow blowers) provided
Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 1 per week
