Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Removal Technician to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining safe and accessible walkways and driveways during winter weather conditions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, some mechanical knowledge and experience with various tools and equipment would be an asset. As a Snow Removal Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of the community.

Responsibilities

Operate backpack blower, paddle blower, shovel and scrappers along with and other related equipment to clear snow and ice from sidewalks, walkways, driveways and parking lots. Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functionality before and after shifts. Utilize hand tools and power tools for snow removal tasks as needed. Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts efficiently. Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly to ensure timely response to snowfall. Maintain accurate records of work performed, including using timers and pictures.

Experience

Previous experience operating a snow route is preferred but not necessary. Some mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues is essential. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in a construction or maintenance environment. A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications for operating heavy machinery are advantageous.
