Job Description

Position Overview:

The Snow Removal Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks to support snow removal maintenance projects. This role involves working on residential and commercial sites, with duties including using shovels, back pack blowers, sweepers, scrapers and other snow removal tools. The Labourer must demonstrate physical fitness, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform snow removal to clear sidewalks, driveways/entry ways for both commercial and residential sites. Use hand and power tools effectively for snow removal such as back pack blowers, sweepers, snow blowers, shovels and scrapers. Perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure performance during snow removal operations. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of snow removal assignments. Clean up project sites, removing debris and ensuring a safe and tidy environment. Actively participate in the company's Health & Safety Program. Adhere to all safety protocols and practices, ensuring a secure working environment for all team members. Operate tools and equipment safely and responsibly. Perform duties in various environments, including residential and commercial sites. Work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain. Handle physically demanding tasks, often in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Fitness:

Ability to lift, carry, bend, and kneel, with the capacity to handle heavy loads (50 lbs and up).

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Experience:

snow removal: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:

Class 5 Licence (preferred)
