We are seeking a reliable and experienced Snow Plow Operator to efficiently manage snow removal operations during winter months. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating snow plowing equipment to ensure safe and accessible roadways, driveways, and parking areas. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems and landscape maintenance, with a focus on safety and efficiency in challenging weather conditions.
Duties
Operate snow plow trucks and related machinery to clear snow and ice from designated areas.
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on plow equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed.
Maintain safety standards by adhering to construction and maintenance protocols while working in various weather conditions.
Coordinate with team members to prioritize routes and ensure timely snow removal.
Keep detailed records of work completed and report any equipment issues or safety hazards.
Full time employment available from May to November on our landscaping/lawn care crew for the right candidate.
Experience
Prior experience operating excavators, snow plows, or other heavy machinery is preferred.
Knowledge of horticulture or landscape maintenance is a plus.
Mechanical knowledge related to construction or maintenance equipment is highly desirable.
Experience with hand tools and power tools used in landscape or construction work is beneficial.
Background in landscape maintenance, horticulture, or general construction will support effective job performance.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in outdoor environments under varying weather conditions is essential.
