Hawk River Construction Limited welcomes you to join our team by applying to our seasonal opportunity of Snow Plow Operator!

Responsibilities:

Operate a 3/4 ton pickup truck with plow and sander, other snow removal equipment as required (i.e. skid steer, loader, etc.), Provide complete and accurate paperwork as required (e.g. vehicle inspections, logs, etc.), Ensure equipment is functioning properly, Responsible for winter snow clearing and sanding, Ability to use appropriate judgement for placement of snow and sanding, Provide exceptional Customer Services to all Hawk River Clients, Shop work, vehicle and equipment maintenance activities as assigned, Other duties as assigned.

The successful applicant must have the following qualifications:

Minimum 2-3 years of Snow Plow Operator experience, Clean Driving Record/ Valid G License, Able to work under constraints with ease, Comfortable working and driving in adverse weather conditions with respect to safety, Committed and dependable, It is important that the successful candidate is able to work while being aware of their safety in their immediate surroundings while using tools and equipment, driving or operating equipment, Comply with our Health and Safety procedures, including but not limited to wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times, Able to work flexible hours during winter including: evenings, holidays and weekends, Excellent observational and problem solving skills, Reliable transportation to work.

Working Conditions:

Ability to work in a fast paced environment, Work near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis, Routine exposure to outside weather conditions including cold, On-call scheduling, Work flexible hours including weekend and holiday work.

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 40 per week
