Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Snow Plow Operator to efficiently clear snow and ice from designated roadways, parking lots, and walkways during winter months. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience operating various equipment, ensuring safe and timely snow removal to maintain accessibility and safety for the community. This role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in challenging winter conditions.

Responsibilities

Operate snow plow trucks and related equipment to remove snow and ice from roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and other designated areas Conduct pre-operation inspections of plow equipment to ensure proper functioning Apply salt or de-icing materials as needed to prevent ice formation Perform routine maintenance on plowing machinery, including minor repairs using hand tools and power tools Monitor weather conditions continuously to plan effective snow removal strategies Communicate with team members regarding operational status and safety concerns Maintain logs of work completed and equipment used for record-keeping purposes

Experience

Prior experience operating heavy machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment is preferred Knowledge of irrigation, gardening, horticulture, landscape maintenance, or general construction is a plus but not required Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and troubleshooting of plow trucks and associated tools is advantageous Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and general maintenance tasks is beneficial Experience working in outdoor environments during winter weather conditions is desirable
