Job Overview


We are seeking a motivated and dependable Snow Plow Operator to join our dedicated winter maintenance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow and ice removal across designated areas, helping maintain accessibility and safety during harsh winter conditions. Your expertise will contribute to smooth operations, allowing residents, employees, or clients to navigate their environments confidently. Duties



Operate snow plow trucks and related equipment such as salt spreaders and sanders to clear roads, driveways, parking lots, sidewalks, and pathways efficiently. Conduct pre-operation inspections of plow vehicles and attachments to ensure safety and proper functioning. Apply salt, sand, or other de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and improve traction on surfaces. Monitor weather conditions continuously to anticipate snow accumulation and plan plowing schedules accordingly. Coordinate with team members and supervisors to prioritize routes and ensure timely completion of snow removal tasks. Perform routine maintenance checks on power tools and heavy machinery used in snow removal operations. Maintain detailed logs of completed work, equipment usage, and any incidents or hazards encountered during shifts.

Requirements



Proven experience operating heavy machinery such as snow plows, excavators, or similar construction equipment. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues with plow trucks and power tools. Ability to work outdoors in cold weather conditions for extended periods while maintaining focus on safety protocols. Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in maintenance tasks. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety procedures diligently. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and reporting issues effectively. Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal
