Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Snow Plow Operator to join our team. This role is essential for maintaining safe and accessible roadways during winter weather conditions. The ideal candidate will have experience operating snow removal equipment and possess a strong work ethic to ensure timely and efficient snow clearing. This position offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to community safety and infrastructure maintenance.

Responsibilities

Operate snow plow trucks and related equipment to clear snow and ice from designated roadways, parking lots, and walkways Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on plowing equipment to ensure optimal performance Coordinate with team members to prioritize routes and manage snow removal schedules effectively Use hand tools, power tools, and mechanical knowledge for minor repairs or adjustments as needed Assist with other landscape maintenance tasks such as irrigation, gardening, or horticulture during off-peak seasons Maintain safety standards by adhering to operational guidelines and using appropriate safety gear at all times On-call service for large weather events through nights or mornings

Requirements

Proven experience operating snow plow trucks or similar heavy machinery such as excavators or construction equipment Mechanical knowledge related to maintenance and minor repairs of plowing and landscape equipment Familiarity with landscape maintenance, horticulture, gardening, irrigation, hand tools, and power tools is a plus Ability to work in cold weather conditions for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks Strong attention to safety protocols and the ability to recognize potential hazards on the job site Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required Prior experience in construction or landscape maintenance is desirable but not mandatory

Pay: $20.02-$28.07 per hour
