We are seeking a skilled and experienced Snow Equipment Operators to join our team. As a Snow Equipment Operator you are expected to run a variety of equipment, which primarily includes skid steers and may also include mini excavators, loaders, tractors, front-end loaders, tandems, and more. Equipment Operators are expected to complete daily tasks in an organized, safe, and efficient manner. Daily duties include, but are not limited to, clearing snow and ice accumulations from customer sites in designated areas using skid steers and related attachments, shovels, snow blowers, backpack blowers, salt spreaders, and bagged salt. Other snow removal tasks may also be assigned throughout the season. Use of various snow removal equipment is required and both online and in-person training will be provided. Equipment Operators must follow all safety procedures, company procedures, and abide by company policies at all times.. Your attention to safety, reliability, and equipment maintenance are critical to our operations\' success. Possibility of continued employment into the Green Season as part of our Landscape Maintenance or Landscape Construction crews beginning April through November. Wages:
$22.00-$25.00 per hour (depending on experience) Responsibilities:
\xc2\xb7 Competently operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
\xc2\xb7 Clear snow and ice accumulations from both residential and commercial jobsites in designated areas using skid steers, equipment, and related attachments, shovels, snowblowers, backpack blowers, salt spreaders, and bagged salt.
\xc2\xb7 Pile snow in designated and approved locations only.
\xc2\xb7 Dress for the weather and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
\xc2\xb7 Take before and after photos of each site.
\xc2\xb7 Take photos of any piles made on site, notify snow supervisor, and remove from site within 24 hours.
\xc2\xb7 Load, secure/strap down, and unload equipment and materials from trucks and trailers ensuring safe transport.
\xc2\xb7 Perform pre-shift inspections and maintain equipment fitness and safety compliance.
\xc2\xb7 Dress for the weather and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
\xc2\xb7 Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and customers to ensure smooth operations. Shifts and Schedules:
\xc2\xb7 Snow clearing shifts are varied and can include late evening and night start times.
\xc2\xb7 Longer hours and weekend shifts when required.
\xc2\xb7 Must be flexible with shift times.
\xc2\xb7 Availability on short notice.
\xc2\xb7 Monitor weather forecast to anticipate incoming weather events. Requirements:
\xc2\xb7 Legally authorized to work in Canada.
\xc2\xb7 Valid Saskatchewan class 5 license with G Endorsement.
\xc2\xb7 Availability for longer hours and weekends when needed.
\xc2\xb7 Reliable transportation to and from work.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work shifts with flexible timings including late evenings and night start times.
\xc2\xb7 Reliable and punctual, with a flexible schedule to accommodate varying snowfall patterns.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to read and interpret maps.
\xc2\xb7 Physical fitness and the ability to perform strenuous tasks in cold weather conditions.
\xc2\xb7 Effective English communication skills (both verbal and written).
\xc2\xb7 Ability to follow safe working procedures.
\xc2\xb7 Good observation skills and attention to detail.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team.
\xc2\xb7 Snow removal experience is an asset. Work Conditions:
\xc2\xb7 Various locations including both residential and commercial sites.
\xc2\xb7 Extremely flexible working hours, including nights, weekend, and holiday work.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly.
\xc2\xb7 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
\xc2\xb7 Work safely near heavy equipment and other vehicles on a regular basis.
\xc2\xb7 Work outdoors in various conditions including extreme cold, rain, dust, noise, and wet conditions. Join Us:
