The Driver is responsible for clearing and salting Garden City sites as directed.

Responsibilities:
Being available when needed and delivery quality results
Bringing your A game to clear and operate at a high level
Follow snow clearing standard operating procedures (SOP)
Constant communication with dispatch and team members
Ensure machinery and equipment are operated and maintained properly
The Results We See:
Operate F550 pick up truck and clear snow as required properly without error
Know the route and site requirements
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Always communicate with your team if you have any questions or concerns
Comply with all company policies and regulations
Meet project timelines as directed by the Dispatch
Provide safe and clean roadways and parking lots

Snow is piled in the designated location
Pre operation checklist is followed for each snow event
Salter is operating before loading
Know the weight capacity of the vehicle and don't overload
Follow and plan your route
Know how to adjust the spinner and auger for appropriate application
Review the site prior to leaving to ensure coverage and salt activation has started
Truck and equipment are ready for all events i.e. fueled, clean, maintained
Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years' experience in the snow clearing industry
Snow clearing knowledge: proper snow clearing techniques, knowledge of piling areas, site best practices, proper industry accepted de-icing standards
Available and on call when requested 24/7
A serious interest in the snow clearing industry
Ability to work outdoors and is coachable
Ability to safely operate required equipment and snow clearing tools
Effective communication skills i.e. listen and ask questions
Desire to learn necessary skills to fulfill required tasks
Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Minimum G driver's license and safe driving record
WORKING CONDITIONS & COMPENSATION
24/7 on call shift work from November 15 to April 15.
$28-$32 per hour, standby pay, potential bonus at the end of the season
