We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient snow removal from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas during winter weather conditions. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate various types of snow removal equipment effectively.
Duties
Operate snow plow vehicles to clear snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks.
Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equipment, including checking fluid levels, changing filters, and ensuring all mechanical components are functioning properly.
Utilize hand tools and power tools for snow removal tasks as needed.
Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations accordingly to ensure timely snow removal.
Collaborate with team members to coordinate snow removal efforts in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain a clean work area and ensure all equipment is stored properly after use.
Assist with landscape maintenance tasks during off-season periods, including digging, gardening, irrigation, and building projects as required.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating heavy machinery or snow plow vehicles is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain equipment effectively.
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in landscaping and maintenance tasks.
Ability to work long hours during inclement weather conditions, including nights and weekends as necessary.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
A valid driver's license is required; additional certifications related to heavy machinery operation are a plus.
