Smart Home AV Technician

to join our smart home division. This role requires a strong technical background combined with a passion for customer-centric smart home innovations.

Responsibilities



Install, configure, and troubleshoot a wide range of smart home products, including lighting controls, security systems, HVAC systems, home entertainment, and more. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide personalized smart home solutions. Provide on-site support and maintenance for existing smart home systems. Assist with the wiring and installation of home automation equipment, including devices and systems from top manufacturers like Control4, Crestron, Lutron, Nest, and others. Perform system upgrades and ensure the integration of new devices into existing smart home networks. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to automation systems and devices. Provide training and guidance to clients on how to operate and maintain their smart home systems. Maintain detailed records of installations, service requests, and maintenance activities. Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in home automation technology.

Qualifications



High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or degree in electrical engineering, IT, or related field preferred. 2+ years of experience in home automation, smart home technology, or a similar technical field. Strong knowledge of smart home technologies and systems, including security, lighting, audio/video, and HVAC systems. Familiarity with popular smart home platforms such as Control4, Crestron, Nest, Sonos, Alexa, and Google Home. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills

:

Certifications in home automation (e.g., CEDIA, Control4, or similar). Experience with system programming or integration. Knowledge of networking and IP systems.
