Job Description
Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking for a Slopeside Barista, at Fernie Alpine Resort. The ideal candidate will have previous Food & Beverage experience, offer excellence in customer service, and have an eye for detail. Some of the responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:You Will:
- Ensure a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both guests and staff
- Assist and upsell guests at every opportunity
- Maintain policies and procedures of RCR and Safety Management Program
- Ensure a clean and safe environment by following proper HACCP procedures
- Follow proper rotation procedures (FIFO)
- Ensure proper portioning for consistent presentation with minimal waste
- Restock the area as necessary
- Follow Starbucks systems and recipes
- Perform daily cleaning duties
- Upsell menu items
- Sell alcoholic beverages
- Take food orders from guests and plating them
- Assist in dishwashing and garbage removal
- Know and adhere to the policies, rules and protocols outlined in the Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Employee Handbook
- Know and follow all safe work procedures included in the Safety Management Program
- Know and comply with all expectations of the Injury Management/Return-to-Work Programs
- Perform other tasks and duties that are applicable
- Organization skills, communication skills, team player
- Barista certificate preferred
- Food Safe certificate an asset
- Serving it Right certification required
