About Us Incorporated in 1955, Ocean Steel services several markets, including Atlantic Canada, the Eastern United States, Bermuda and the Caribbean. Although they specialize in fabricating and erecting structural steel for buildings and bridges, they also manufacture and install platework, such as breechings, stacks, ducts, penstocks, process & storage tanks and custom process-equipment. Ocean Steel\xe2\x80\x99s two New Brunswick plants include the original location in Saint John, as well as the York Steel Plant in Fredericton, which was acquired by Ocean Steel in 1995. - Successful completion of pre-employment college program or equivalent experience
- Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification (Block 1 - Red Seal)
- 1 to 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in structural steel fabricating or welding
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience with band saws, CNC punches, shears, CNC drill and burning machines
- Thrive working in a team-based environment
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and operate overhead crane would be considered a strong asset
