Job Description

Install and service a range of exterior prefabricated products

, including aluminum composite panels, cementitious panels or siding, foam-insulated metal panels, corrugated cladding, and wood composite panels or siding on commercial or institutional buildings.

Reports to:

Superintendent

Main Duties

Review blueprints and work orders to understand layout and installation requirements Measure and mark reference points for installation Apply air/vapor barriers to wall surfaces using rollers and related tools Measure, cut, and install z-bar sub-girts using hand and power tools Install, repair, and service exterior prefabricated products such as panels and siding Coordinate with other trades and respond to site management requests Load and unload materials at the job site

Employment Requirements

No formal education required Follow all company and on-site safety rules in accordance with OH&S legislation Participate in company safety activities, including tailgate meetings Ability to perform physical work and lift at least 50 lbs Must be punctual, work well in a team, and communicate effectively in English A valid driver's licence may be required

Additional Information

Product-specific training provided on site Prior experience with building envelope installation is an asset Work takes place at various project sites throughout the Edmonton area Must be comfortable working at heights Must provide your own steel-toed safety boots

Wages:

Skilled Labourer: $22-$28/hr (depending on experience) Metal Cladders: $22-$37/hr (depending on experience)

Working Conditions

Monday to Friday workweek, starting at 7:00 AM, minimum nine-hour days One-hour lunch break (0.5 hours paid) Exposure to noise, dust, and other job-site hazards Fast-paced environment; attention to detail is beneficial Outdoor work in all weather conditions, including winter cold and summer heat Projects are spread across multiple locations; having your own vehicle is an asset

Pay: $22.00-$37.00 per hour
