Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Skilled Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in various aspects of construction, including flooring installation, tile laying, carpentry, and general maintenance person tasks. This role involves working on diverse projects that require technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints. The Skilled Laborer will contribute to high-quality craftsmanship and ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.

Duties

Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform construction tasks such as framing, flooring installation, and tile laying Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to execute project plans accurately Install flooring materials, including tiles and other surface coverings, with precision Perform carpentry work including cutting, measuring, and assembling structures or fixtures Apply caulking and sealing techniques to ensure finished surfaces are weatherproofed and aesthetically pleasing Assist with general maintenance person repairs and maintenance around job sites Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment throughout all phases of construction projects Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Skills

Proficiency with hand tools and basic power tools used in construction Experience in flooring installation, tile laying, carpentry, and caulking Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately Strong maintenance person skills with a versatile approach to various repair tasks Knowledge of construction safety practices and procedures Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team Prior experience in construction or related trades is highly desirable
